Amihan 50 Trail Weekend

At times injured, at support mode or on the events side, I’m just glad to be back on the trails at race mode. Amihan 50 10K route felt very familiar and new at the same time. It had a mix of my usual home trail and a surprise in the newly re-established white trails. Continue reading »

CM Challenge 2017

It’s a colorful kind of dirty for me at Color Manila Challenge 2017. This time it wasn’t just about color powders but a bunch of obstacles as well. CM Challenge also came with a challenging rolling route using the McKinley West and Bayani Road Area. Of course, the run is just an appetizer for the wonderful color display at the Color Manila Festival. #ColorManila #CMChallengeAccepted #ILoveColorManila Continue reading »

Pacing 10K at Run United 1 2016

I’ve been pacing for Run United since they started the system over a year ago. The unique part of this year was they extended the pace groups to the 8 minute per kilometer pace group. I’m sure this group would live by #ActiveHealthPh mantra of Exceeding Themselves as they get pushed to get pass the 1:20 barrier for 10 kilometers. #2016RunUnited1 #RU1 #ExceedYourself Continue reading »

Sta Fe Trail Run

There are no wasted moments when it comes to Sta Fe Trail Run. Each part of the trail will have your eyes feasted with the raw beauty of nature that includes a rich Pine Tree infested Forest, a ridge-view of the mountain ranges and the Ampucao Ridge. That beauty comes with a struggle as you have to huff and puff your way to steep climbs and brave the descents, which would leave you stronger and satisfied as you cross the finish line. Run United Recovery Run 2015

Recovery is the name of the game at Run United Recovery Run. When you race to Exceed Yourself, your body also accumulates a lot of wear and tear. Recovery is one step backward and thousands of fast strides forward. It was a chance to enjoy the run at an easier pace. This gives your body and muscles a chance to recover while remaining active in preparation for your future athletic goals. Continue reading »

Sunpiology Run 2015 #KickDiabetes

More than the stars, I was in for the challenge of this course as it was a buffet of unlimited hills all throughout the race. It was a challenge to go to the rolling terrain in McKinley West as well as the long and steep climbs at McKinley Hills. And yes, there were obstacles too. All the shut up leg moments aside, this was a really exciting course that comes with a great cause, which is being able to increase awareness and #KickDiabetes goodbye. #Sunpiology2015 Continue reading »

Mens Health Urbanathlon #MHPhUrb

Trail and Obstacle Races are already redundant since a trail is an obstacle on its own with its uneven surfaces and and varying terrain. Men’s Health Urbanathlon gives you a long stretch of paved roads for the need for speed, a rolling trail area to challenge your legs and tough obstacles to live by its theme, Survival of the Fittest. The harder they are, the more fun they are as it made earning the coveted finisher medal and survivor shirt a lot more satisfying. #MHPHURB Continue reading »

UNICEF Heroes For Children Run

I’m starting to love the shorter distance once again as I opted for another 10K Run at the UNICEF’s Heroes for Children Run. It was Anne Curtis first ever 21K run and all the effort for this run goes to the cause of UNICEF’s 1,000 days campaign. It had the support of about 3,000 runners that included celebrities who even made it to the podium. Cheers to Anne not only for finishing her first half marathon but for also being an active host for the event and the campaign. Continue reading »
