Reebok Debuts a New Logo and a Fast and Furious ZFury Shoe and a New FitHub

Reebok has been active in numerous and is a renowned name in multitude of sports/discipline from running, basketball, crossfit, zumba and a lot more.  While the different sports or discipline would vary, they all represent the fitness lifestyle and with this come a new mark to represent the singular focus of fitness

Reebok ZFury

With a new mark comes a new line of shoes with the ZSeries Collection.  The ZSeries gives premium to control, traction and speed and this is made possible with the outsole made out of high performance ZRated Tires, which are designed for use on cars that travel at the speed in excess of 149 mph (240 km/h) and the treads are engineered for ultimate ground contact and the ability to rapidly move in and out of turns at high speed.

I got the ZFury Model and went on test it out for series of runs.  It usually takes me up to 3 runs to get comfortable with a shoe but for the ZFury it was the right fit the first time around.  Lightweight, cushioned and responsive, that’s my first impression.  The first was an 8K straight run and I was able to adopt smoothly with the ZFury.   The best part about it was traction as you can feel how responsive the shoes upon contact with the surface.  It really helps do the turns around Salcedo Village much smoother, which does remind me of how it feels driving a fast car with excellent traction on the road.

The next was a tougher work out which was a Chuck Norris V2.0 with 4 sets of 20 pushups, 30 sit-ups, 10 V-ups and 10 Indian sit-ups + 2.5K Run.  The hard part was that I should have negative splits, meaning I should add speed every set.  Good thing, there’s a NanoWeb that keeps the foot centered and providing enhanced control and stability. The NanoWeb felt like a seat belt for the foot to be in place as you navigate the road.  The secure fit in the foot plus the excellent traction allows me to move laterally faster and quicker and also reduces the possibility of sprains and ankle injury.  With fast and furious shoes in ZFury, I was able to do the negative split with ease and confidence.

I also did a long run that would have me going for 15 kilometers.  I was comfortable enough with the shoes cushioning to go for a long run and since it has a seam free upper, which reduces irritation on the longer runs.  Since the shoes reacts to the foot motion with the ground, the strides felt more natural and fast.   The long run felt real smooth as I felt more stability and control in my strides owing to the Reoobok’s ZFury cushioning and ZRated outsoles.

15K Weekend Run

Another thing I like with the ZFury is that it’s a really comfortable shoe when you are walking.  I’ve used it on my casual days since I do a lot of walking in between the day.  Another part I love about this shoes is that it looks flashy with it’s nice colorways.

It’s also a really comfortable walking shoes.

Reebok’s First FitHub in the Country

In an effort to promote the fitness lifestyle, Reebok has launched its very first FitHub Shop-in-Shop at the Royal Sporting House Store, 2nd Level Glorietta 4 Ayala Center Makati.  The retail store has a feel of a fitness studio and CrossFit Boxes and gives customers an immersion with the fitness lifestyle as they enter the store.
