A Kid’s World

Do you still remember the time when you were still a kid?  Carefree… Playful and love to eat those chips.  I still do!!!  I spent my childhood in the cool Baguio climate and yes I do love chips… actually until now.  I can still savor the chicken taste of Chickadees (Please bring back Chickadees) or the cheesy treat in Piknik or some afternoon delight in Smacks and Onion Ring.  This were the products of Regent Food Corporation way back then. I usually save up my measly allowance or volunteer for some extra chores just to buy my favorite Regent Product.  Flash forward to the present, I still am drawn to their products from the rich cheesy taste of Cheese Ring to their top selling Shrimp delight in Tempura to the sweet taste of corn in Sweet Corn and even the variety of flavor of Regent cakes.  Then and now, Regent Foods Corporation has been taking care of the Filipino taste buds with their various products.

Regent has grown into one of the top snack food manufacturer in the country over the years.  Regent Fun Run 2012 to be held on August 12, 2012 at Bonifacio Global City is in recognition of 24 years of providing healthy, delicious and affordable snacks to both Filipino and Global Market and the advocacy to promote a healthy lifestyle.

Gun Start:

• 100 M – toddler (8 and below) 7:15 AM
• 100 M – kiddie run (9-12) 7:15 AM
• 3 KM – 5:55 AM
• 5 KM – 5:50 AM
• 10 KM – 5:40 AM
• 16 KM – 5:30 AM

Finisher Medals:

Note: 16K Runners also get a finisher shirt.

Race Route:

The route would using the regular BGC routes for 3K, 5K and 10K distance and extend to Kalayaan Flyover until Buendia for the 16K Category with the start and finish area at 9th Avenue in the Bonifacio High Street Area.

Savers Treat:

The Savers Treat will be given upon registration and include several of Regent’s products.  

Registration Sites:

Due to the distribution of the savers treat, Regent has tied up with Robinson’s Supermarket in Robinson’s Galleria, Pioneer, Ermita, Timog and BF Homes as registration partner. Runnr at Bonifacio High Street will also be a registration site for easier access to runners.  Registration would be from June 22, 2012 to August 5, 2012.

The Cause

Part of the proceeds of the run will go to Philippine Red Cross to support their various projects all around the country.

Time to Run

It’s a good thing that the registration is done at an earlier time so those who would want to join would have time to prepare for their respective distance and be ready by race day.  I’ve personally selected 16K as I’ll be returning to the longer distance runs by the time of the race.  Aside from those saver’s treat are so tempting, I’ll be joining this event to have fun and since there’s still enough time, I may yet chase a new personal record for 16K.  It’s time to celebrate with Regent Foods Corporation and since this one’s a celebration with additional treats and prizes awaiting at the finish line, go with family… go with friends… go with loved ones… and…
