I usually get the question on “My Runs” post on who takes my picture and I also get comments how the photos are so alive, crisp and vivid. The answer to that is that there are official and volunteer photographers, who have channeled their love of running, outdoors and photography into being a constant fixture in the races. Photo-ops is one of the key photographers for running and multi sport events and they have taken running photography into the next level. With a tag line that says, “only the best is good enough,” Photo-ops comes true to its tag line, as the quality of each photo they take is that of a professional. Professional photography meets the running world.
I’ve been to races where I had to pay a hefty sum like the Standard Charter Hong Kong Marathon and I can say that the quality of photos Photo-ops took are even much better. They made me look forward to running on weekends as I know I would have proper documentation to show after an epic run. We love to run but having a photo that comes from the best makes it even more memorable.
Whether it was capturing runners overcome a mud-ridden obstacle at Xterra Mud Run in Filinvest, Alabang, capturing light family moments at Alaska Family Fun Run, being ALL IN for the most anticipated annual Adidas King of the Road, celebrating 5 years of Takbo.PH in a run fest event or a mid-size family with pets event like the Great Bank Family Fun Run, Photo-ops is sure to capture that winning moment which is an excellent souvenir for the run and the distance you have conquered. Photo-ops have also been capturing moments in multisport events like 5150, Ironkids and Ironman 70.3 events.
They are also tasked to capture the journey of runners as they take prepare and eventually conquer the 42.195 distance for their first or second marathon event in The Bull Runner Dream Marathon in 2014. The journey is much sweeter with Photo-ops capturing every step of the way until each of the finisher has reached the finish line and calls themselves Marathoners come February 16, 2014.
Running is more fun in the Philippines and having photos by a group of Photographers that settles only for the best makes it even more memorable. Photo-ops have taken running photography to the next level and expect them on the race course waiting for the priceless shot of each of the runners of the race.
