Now Eating: Triple-Os Burger #TripleOsPH

Posted by on 19. June 2014

“Triple-O’s Burger has been Canada’s go to burger since 1928 because they have the sauciest, juiciest, tastiest, bestest burgers around.  It has expanded its following to other parts of the world and now it has finally reached Philippine shores with their maiden branch at the 3rd Level, Atrium in SM Megamall.” #TripleOsPH

Triple O’s Burger

When it comes to iconic burger status in Canada, it’s Triple-O’s by White Spot and it has been their go-to burger since 1928 when it was founded by Nat Bailey.  Triple-O’s elevates the simple concept of the burger with their premium-grade 100% Canadian beef patties. Numerous gourmands agree that Canadian beef is a few notches superior to its American counterpart, due to Canada’s strict screening systems on beef standards and food safety. Likewise, Triple-O’s is well known for their meticulous grilling technique, which optimizes the essence and flavor of the beef.

Then when you go to flavor is something that has been iconic that led its almost cult-like followers to go on theorizing on what makes ” Triple O sauce ” so delicious and how to improve the taste, but the end conclusion is always the same that there simply is no way to improve on the taste of the original.  Anyway, the best way to get to be acquainted with that iconic Triple-O taste is to try it out.  I was lucky enough to be among the few fortunate ones to get acquainted with the taste of Triple-O’s burger.

I got myself a Bacon Cheddar, Onion Rings and Soda

One of their best sellers in Canada is the Bacon Cheddar, which has 100% fresh Canadian beef patty, crispy bacon, melted cheddar with crisp lettuce, fresh tomato and the secret Triple O sauce with their signature dill pickle on top.  Another best seller they have specially in the Asian Market is the Monty Mushroom, which has 100% fresh Canadian beef, Monterey Jack cheese, grilled mushrooms, crisp lettuce, fresh tomato and the secret Triple O sauce.  I ended up ordering Bacon Cheddar since I like the taste every time Bacon and cheese combines in a burger.  On the side, I got myself Onion Rings and partnered it with soda. Before I went to my burger, I started first eating my Onion Rings, which is really crisp and comes in huge cuts.  With a bigger cut comes a better taste for the Onion as you can feel the taste of Onion with every bite and taste even better with their dip.  Half way into my Onion Rings, I move in to the much anticipated Bacon Cheddar.

The Main Event – Bacon Cheddar

The burger was huge so I had to take it slow and enjoy every bite of it.  At first bite, you’ll be immediately drawn by the really delicious and one-of-a-kind Triple O sauce that meshes so well with Canadian beef and the rich taste of cheddar and freshness of  lettuce, tomato and the pickles.  Each bite was a delight and Canadian Beef did taste better than the regular beef.  Cheddar had a richer taste than other cheese.  The Triple O secret sauce had my taste buds wondering in delight on how it can make bite after bite a rich savory experience.  It took me several minutes to finish the Bacon Cheddar not only because of its size but also because I was savoring the wonderful taste of the burger.  I now know how a burger can stay as it is since 1928 and still be loved by a lot of people world wide. I’m definitely coming back to try the Monty Mushroom and their other dishes.

You’ll definitely love their Milkshake

Just as I was about to finish up, I saw a lot of people ordering Triple Os Milkshake and they seem to be having a really good time while sipping their milk shake.  A milk shake would be an excellent way to finish of a meal so I went on to order my milk shake.  It comes in variants of Vanilla, Strawberry and Chocolate.  I ended up choosing Vanilla as it’s the most basic of the 3.  Of course, if they can impress me with the most basic of their flavors then I’m sure the two other flavors would impress me as well.  It was a state of bliss at first sip.  It felt like sipping a very tasty Vanilla Ice Cream. I enjoyed every sip of the Vanilla Milk shake as every sip, I had the extra thick milk shake rest in my mouth so I can enjoy the rich vanilla sweetness in my drink.  I’m glad that I did try their milkshake, like their burgers, you shouldn’t leave Triple O without trying them out.

Enthusiastic customers can even overload their burgers with extra toppings, from a grand selection of cheeses, bacon, and grilled mushrooms. Triple O’s also caters to the popular local preference for fish or chicken burgers, perfectly grilling these patties to a crunchy, juicy, and flavorful delight.

For those who have a hankering for something other than a fantastic burger, Triple O’s provides a selection of other mains, such as chicken, pasta, and fish dishes.

To cap off an excellent meal, the hand-scooped Triple O’s milkshake is the only way to go. Made with premium vanilla ice cream in the classic flavors, their milkshake and sundaes end your Triple O’s experience on a sweet note.
