It was a one-of-a-kind weekend Fitness Retreat for Active Health and Media Participants as they took part in various fitness activity while enjoying the around the world view of Balesin.
One of A Kind ActiveHealth & Fitness Retreat in Balesin
BALESIN, POLILIO, QUEZON – Balesin Sports Camp together with One of A Kind Marketing and ActiveHealth staged the Active Fitness Retreat at the Balesin Island Club this past April 3 to 5, 2019 with the involvement of the top fitness influencers and sports media personalities with a goal of engaging more people into sports and immersing them into the active lifestyle.
The 3 days, 2 nights event started with a running clinic headed by ActiveHealth and National Elite coaches Dan Brown and Ani de Leon-Brown. They conducted running drills that highlighted proper breathing, stride economy and good running posture. This was the same drill done by the national athletes in running and triathlon events.
The participants each received a bag of ActiveHealth Care Kits which include SKINPRO Sunscreen Spray, Anti-Chafe Cream and After-Sun Soothing Gel for athlete-tested sun protection. To aid in recovery, Enervon HP was added as well as Enervon Activ for physical strength and immunity. A nutrition talk featuring Enervon HP was also held to emphasize proper nutrition and recovery.
The day continued with an invigorating sunset yoga session with TriFactor ambassador, Elle Adda who just recently won 2nd place at the Trifactor Asian series in Vietnam. Elle led the session at the Balesin Spa and shared the benefits of calming yin yoga for athletes, which is a perfect recovery after the more dynamic running activity. This was followed by a Spanish meal at Costa del Sol for dinner.
The next day of camp got even livelier with a Pound Fitness Rockout Workout with fitness advocate Marge Camacho. Pound simulated the beating of the drum with hits and movement that kept the heart-beat pumping fast and burn calories in the process. After a solid workout, the participants got refreshed with ActiveHealth’s Enervon HP Recovery Drink.
A Thai hearty lunch was served at the Phuket Villa that came with a wellness talk from Dr.Jason Penaranda, Associate Medical Doctor of Aegle Wellness Center, Balesin. A question-and-answer (Q&A) session on health and wellness engaged the participants a lot.
What followed next was a Body Composition Analysis (BCA) at Aegle Wellness Center, where the participants got their health score and consultations. After the consultations, the participants enjoyed a recharging Thalassotherapy. The sea salt and essential oils in the therapy helped in releasing the toxins from the body to aid in recovery and rejuvenation.
Fresh from the hyperbaric chamber treatment at Aegle Wellness Center in Balesin, URCCFeatherweight Champion and MMA Superstar, Mark Streigl shared how he maintained his body to be active and engaged with simple yet effective core workouts at the Balesin Sala beachfront. This is the same workout routine he followed in preparation for his upcoming fight on April 27, 2019 with URCC Global.
The day ended with a fun volleyball session with Beach volleyball superstar Bea Tan, where the participants enjoyed the sunset view over an engaging game of beach volleyball. The participants got a taste of Central Italy with a sumptuous dinner at Toscana Village.
The participants were game to face all the activities despite the summer heat as they were protected with ActiveHealth SKINPRO Sunscreen Spray, After-Sun Soothing Gel and Anti-Chafe Cream. Their Oakley eyewear also came in handy to serve as protection from the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) rays and the debris from the sand.

The participants were able to enjoy a little bit of everything around with themed villages featuring the best destinations and iconic beaches around the world such as Bali, Mykonos, Costa Del Sol, St.Tropez France, Tuscana, Phuket and a Philippine-themed local beach villa, Balesin. The event was made possible with the support of Mike Asperin, CEO of Balesin who initiated the Balesin Sports Camp as they also launched it this April with the top caliber sports personalities and nation’s premier coaches.
