Incoming: World Vision Run 2015

Posted by on 30. April 2015

When it comes to World Vision, I not only make their run an annual tradition.  I actually support their cause and I’ve been sponsoring a child since 2013.  It really warms the heart to give a kid a better chance at life with the sponsorship. It doesn’t have to be big.  It can be like setting aside P600 monthly for the child like I do or it can be by joining this race.  It can be from a simple fun category for kids in a 500 meter dash or the regular 3K, 5K, 10K and 21K categories.  Let’s all run to make a difference, Let’s all run for Love. Register Now and See you on June 21 at the SM Mall of Asia Grounds.

I always believed that apart from our day to day chores and routines, we should set aside something for our own advocacy. It may be money. It may be time. It may be unused clothes.  One of the advocacy I actually support is World Vision since I started sponsoring a child for P600 monthly.  It’s not big but I give a kid a better chance at life.  I get to receive updates on how he performs at school and his well being.  If you can squeeze in extra funds, I really suggest you to sponsor a child.  A lot of helping hand can really give the country a big lift.  The other way to help the cause of World Vision is by joining the World Vision Run.  By supporting the run you get to help a lot of kids by giving them a sip of clean water, where there was once dirty.  It can have a lot of healthier children in a community where death and disease were once commonplace.  It can create vibrant classroom, in a village where schools used to not exist. It can give kids a future that overflows with promise and hope.  The World Vision child sponsorship program currently reaching out to 100,000 Filipino Children, providing them access to education, health care, protection and other community development initiatives for the families and communities. You can actually make a difference in a life of a child and that difference is love.

It’s also among the well organized races in the country with Runrio in the forefront.  It has the ample support for those wanting a personal record race and it also brings in the fun environment for families, recreational and newbie runners.  Choose your category (500 meters for kids up to 12 years old, 3K, 5K, 10K, 21K0  and run to make a difference.  3K, 5K, 10K and 21K runners also gets a finisher shirt for their efforts.
