“Under Armour’s reputation of being a leading performance and innovation has been known in the running, multisports and sports communities. We just love the brand that we go to the extent of importing them abroad. Well, here’s some good news for all of us, #UnderArmour has opened it’s first retail store in the Philippines at Bonifacio High Street.” #IWill
Under Armour
The tiniest bit of inconvenience can really impact your performance. It may be a blister that slows your stride. It may be a friction burn that stings on your arms making it difficult to move. It can also be the sweat weighing down your cotton apparel that creates a drag. This is where technology comes into play and among the leader in technology is the brand called Under Armour. I’m a big fan of Under Armour and I ended up having several visors, shoes, singlets, shirts, shorts, wrist band, compression wear and yes even underwear. I use to pester my friends or relatives to buy me stuff so I can enjoy the benefits and comfort of Under Armour products.
The Philippines has a lot of people hooked into fitness with race events happening weekly and thousands of people embracing that lifestyle. The Philippines is a perfect market for Under Armour whose technology-driven products can push the passionate fitness enthusiasts into better athletes. Good news for you and me, Under Armour has opened it’s first retail store in the country located at Bonifacio High Street (BHS). It was officially opened via a blessing and a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Senator Pia Cayetano, Actor Piolo Pascual, Taguig City representatives and Under Armour representatives leading the ceremonies.
Entering Under Armour shop is an eye candy as you get treated by flashy displays of their different products. The Under Armour Flagship branch at BHS employs striking architectural and interior designs, underscoring the innovation and technology engineered into Under Armour’s performance footwear, apparel and equipment. The store’s interiors with wood accents, cement floors and bolts evoke and industrial and gym like atmosphere to reflect the brand’s signature ethos and gritty determination, passion and will.
Being an Under Armour fan that I am, I visited their store on their soft opening and ended up buying a Superman shirt. It’s a Black Shirt with a Neon Orange Superman logo. This is part of their Hero Zone featuring Marvel and DC-inspired shirts. I really love the fit when I wore it during the store’s launch. I was the officially the 9th customer of the store. Their footwear will also catch your attention with the flashy shoe colors and really lightweight feel. They are definitely built for a fast run.
They are featuring the Spring / Summer 2014 collection of footwear, apparel and equipment available immediately include Under Armour SpeedformTM RC – revolutionary running shoes that employs the world’s first seamless heel cup and UA HeatGear Sonic, UA HeatGear Flyweight, Coldblack and Under Armour Compression from the apparel range. It would be best to see the product up close as they are really calming on the eye and really worth buying.
Under Armour Celebrity Obstacle Challenge
What better way to highlight a performance brand than to see celebrity athletes and media perform in an obstacle course race. It was not an easy course to start with as they had to drag a weight while running, do the monkey bar, crawl, climb a net, run with dumbbells, rock climb over a wall and rappel down the wall before passing the torch to the next player. You would just be impressed how fast they did the obstacles which definitely stands by the Under Armour tag line, #IWill. The obstacle course was also open to the public earlier during the day.

I’m really glad to be able to cover both the presscon and the launch as just seeing the Under Armour brand in the country makes me along with fellow sports enthusiasts excited with their latest top-of-the-line products.
