NBA Legend Ron Harper leads Alaska Milk and US Embassy basketball clinic

Read about:

Ron Harper was multiple time NBA champion, being a vital cog of the Bulls Championship Dynasty in the 90s and the Lakers Championship Dynasty in the early 2000s.  Aside from his Championship Pedigree, he’s also a leader and a great team player on the court in the NBA.  He brings that experience and leadership in basketball clinics in partnership with the US Embassy, NBA and spearheaded by Alaska Milk Corporation for the underserved youth last October 5, 2013.

The Basketball clinic gathered more than 80 boys and girls from residential care facilities under the DSWD: Marillac Hills and Haven for Children.  Alaska Milk aims to instill the values of determination, discipline, teamwork and hard work among the youth through sports. The event was also a moral boost to these kids as well.

Alaska Milk Corporation has been an active in the sports scene with their own team in the PBA, the Alaska Aces and as well as other sports like running and triathlon.   This also supports the grassroots development of sports in the country.

This is a nice activity for the youth. I don’t actually know him but I’m sure my brother does and I remember when he was still a kid, it’s one of his dreams to play with stars in the basketball scene like Ron Harper.
