My Runs has been a journey and each race was a different story.

Read About:  My Runs

Franc on the Run

Running has been a journey for me and I have been joining races for three years now.  Each race was a different story and had a different character .  I’ve also gone through different phases when it comes to running. I’ve started with the usual walking 3K and 5K before I chased my  running goals.  It was all about speed as I chased and met a sub60 10K time. It was all about endurance as I had a strong half marathon debut.  It was all about flexibility when I went on to do duathlons.  It was all about enjoying the terrains and the obstacles when I ventured into trails and obstacle races.  Whether I go on a competitive mode or just run at a chill pace, it was always about experiencing what the race has to offer.

This is where elevation profile, heart rate, lap pace, cadence and others come in.  If you’ve read any of my race post, I tend to profile the race based on the the elevation profile and race maps and even go deeper to lap pace.  I try be more descriptive on the race wherein I try to let the reader be in my feet doing the same distance feeling the various elements of the race.  It’s my run but I like each and everyone to be a part of it.  Apart from the usual singlets and medals, it’s my race blogs that’s my ultimate souvenir for each race.  Of course, I won’t be able to monitor this without a trusty GPS watch.  Being able to measure the distance and other key metrics of the race helps you manage yourself and your time.  It helps you manage your pace with regards to your heart rate, elevation, distance and even the heat and humidity of the environment.  One of the best investments I made in running was to have an all around GPS watch and I’m now moving on to the latest multi-sports watch, which is Suunto Ambit 2S in managing my training and breaking down my races so MY RUNS is now powered by Suunto AMBIT 2S.

It’s Time for SUUNTO

Excited to be powered by Suunto

Suunto Ambit 2S and Ambit 2 was officially launched in the Philippines last June 14, 2013 at California Pizza Kitchen in Powerplant Mall at Rockwell attended by members of print and social media and some key people in the running and multi-sports community.  Suunto is the perfect watch for passionate multi-sports athletes and adventure seekers who wants to track their adventure. If you’re in the long haul in these activities, investing in a good multi-functional GPS watch is always a good one as being able to measure the different aspects that affects your sports and adventure.

Cycling and Running with Suunto Ambit 2S

Just because I love my new toy, I used Suunto Ambit 2s both for my bike ride and my long run in Clark.  The watch is loaded with features at it provided me with metrics from heart rate, pace, speed, altitude, lap splits and kept me informed on my progress as I was doing my work out.  The race  map also was accurate and captured every little twist and turns I took during the race, which just shows that their GPS is very accurate.  I also was aware of my heart rate and the distance covered throughout the run, which gives me an idea if I can push further.  This is my first time with Suunto and Movescount so you’ll definitely hear more from me about Suunto Ambit 2s as I unlock each of its feature and will also be sharing my moves via movescount.com.

Want to learn more about Suunto, visit their face book page: SUUNTO PHILIPPINES and their website: www.suunto.com.  Suunto Ambit and Ambit 2S is available at all Time Depot Stores.
