Incoming: The Beautiful Horizon Trail Run Traverse

Posted by on 4. November 2015

You get two scenic mountains in one as the The Beautiful Horizon Trail Run gives you both the view of the Silyang Bato in Mount Marami and the Monolith in Pico De Loro.  That’s 35 kilometers worth of visual enticement as you get some mud tracks, forest trails, river crossings and the view of the mountain ranges happening on March 6, 2016 at Maragondon, Cavite. Register early as the race is limited to 300 slots only.

The Beautiful Horizon

Silyang Bato

I had two epic climbs at Mt. Marami. The first was the recon which gave us a much clearer view of Mt. Marami Silyang Bato and the second one was the actual race where we had to deal with a lot tougher trail conditions because of the rain.  Both climbs were just Epic as the views made up for the struggle. Life is like climbing a mountain, it’s the struggle that gives you a better appreciation of the view.  You get humbled physically by the challenge and you get humbled by nature’s beauty at its raw form as you get to see the views from the route and the peak.  The Mt. Marami Experience does not stop there as this March 6, 2016, the journey continues with the Beautiful Horizon Trail Run Traverse.

Sit like a king on the Runner’s Throne (Silyang Bato)

It’s gonna give you two Iconic mountains and a whole mountain range in a single run in 35 kilometers worth of distance and about 850m worth of Elevation Gains/Losses.  It will be the first trail run traverse edition that will happen on the mountain range of Maragondon, Cavite. Mt Marami, Mt Mataas na Gulod, Dos Picos, Mt Palay-Palay and Pico De Loro are on the Route Menu.  Just imagine going through different mud surfaces, the rich forest views, the countless river crossings and the unending assaults.  The countless assaults will make you believe in forever as they never seem to end but effort is always rewarded by the views of the trail.

The views would amaze you despite the struggles.

If you’ve been to Mt. Marami that’s just half of the challenge and the excitement.  You’ll also get to see the famed monolith of Mt. Pico De Loro.  Bring in the whole gang for an adventure filled weekend. Join the Beautiful Horizon Trail Run Traverse.  It’s gonna take your breath away in more ways than one.  Register Now as the slots are limited to 300 participants.

From the pictures that you posted you could easily tell hoe beautiful the trail is. The view afterwards is just fantastic. I can only imagine how rewarding it feels after the climb.

wow that looks like a great race – it would be perfect for my training for nepal 50k in march … ill have to consider it … but it is a long way away 🙁

I’ve been to Pico de loro and almost went up the monolith. I chickened out last minute because the winds were so strong and rappeling up a rope was the only way to get to the monolith. O.O

Anyhoo, the view you can get from this trail is definitely worth it 🙂

Its giving me chills seeing you sat at the edge of a cliff.. omg!!! I cant do that I have fear of heights. Anyway.. pico de loro is a nice place and you hit 2 burds in 1 stone having two great scenery at one hike

  5. Anne V

I am terrified of heights, your pictures are terrifying for me. But the view is stellar as usual. Break a leg on Dec 20!

  6. Raymond Vasquez

Your photo at the edge of the cliff is breathtaking, and I’ve only heard about Marami now. This inspires me to climb mountains too. Do some trekking again. Been a while now.

Your shot at Silyang Bato is awesome! It’s a good thing that you’re not afraid of heights as you looked close to the edge of the cliff.

  8. Dems

I have been to Pico de Loro (the resort) but you can really appreciate its beauty more when you’re overlooking everything. I don’t think I can go to the edge though, clumsy as I am. Are you participating? 🙂

  9. clairemoments

Amazing pics as usual, but the first one gave me goosebumps too cos I’m afraid of heights! Have fun for the event’

  10. Pooja Kawatra Gupta

Silyang Bato shot is too good and so natural it is. I actually felt scared looking at that photo.
