Incoming: Sierra Revenge

Posted by on 13. March 2014

Conquering the inclines of Sierra Madre is not an easy feat but at Sierra Revenge you get to cover the distance via a 50 kilometer Relay or a 21K duo run.  That gives you a lot of time to bond as a group and at the same time build character during the climb while appreciate nature on the road to the finish line.

Sierra Revenge

The hills, we hate how it makes our quads sting but love how it makes our legs strong, our heart satisfied and our eyes visually treated.  This was how participants felt in the first Sierra 51050 held last February 23, 2014, where the emphasis was team work. For about 10 to 20 kilometers, team members run together until they complete a 50 kilometer route.  The challenge, the camaraderie and the scenic route definitely deserves an encore.

From the success of Sierra 51050, Rundezvous Inc. presents Sierra Revenge on May 25, 2014, Sunday to call on runners to reunite and form teams and to prove whose team is the fastest and strongest to endure the hills of Sierra Madre in Tanay, Rizal. The route runs along Sitio Mayagay, Barangay Sampaloc and Barangay Cuyambay.

Sierra Revenge promotes unity and camaraderie among the runners of the team with the Relay (team of 5) and Duo Half Marathon. The Relay calls on five (5) members of a team, each member will cover 10-20 kilometers until they finish the 50 kilometer route. The Duo Half Marathon calls on running buddies while they race together the 21 kilometer route until they finish, enjoying the scenic view the Sierra Madre mountain range has to offer. Sierra Revenge follows the race mechanics of Sierra 51050 for Relay and Duo Half Marathon.

Sierra Revenge is not just exclusively for running groups but also for schools, universities, teams from other sports (i.e., triathlon, mountaineers, rowers, gym buddies, and CrossFit boxes) and even companies!  It can also be your bonding moment with friends and family as you go on relay or a duo conquering the elevation of the race.

The Sierra Series is just one of the races organized by Rundezvous, Inc. that seeks to cater races that will mean closer to the runners. A Team Leads Meeting will be announced for briefing of the race for Sierra Relay category.  Sierra Revenge is in partnership with Running Atom (http://runningatom.com) and Running Free Manila (http://runningfreemanila.com).

It’s time for a character building session with your team or your buddy in a really challenging, scenic and hilly Sierra Madre terrain.  It’s time to hit the hills or if you’ve joined the last Sierra 51050, it’s time for revenge and finish it much faster.  Either way, you’ll end up a much stronger runner by the time you hit the finish line. Remember #teamcomesfirst
