Throwback Sub 1

Reaching my Sub 1 goal for the first time in 2011

Read about Sub 60: The Story of My Runs / Inquirer 25 for 25 Run

Finishing my first sub 1 10K in early in 2011 was not only a one hour effort.  It meant months of preparation and shaving of a full 17 minutes of my first 10K run months before.  It was a journey and a process of building up speed, endurance, mental toughness and confidence.  The actual race was even a lot more exciting and a test of character as I felt some muscle stiffness in the 8th Kilometer and held on for a 59:54 time for 10K.  Yes, it’s just 6 seconds and just a few gasp in meeting the sub 1 hour goal but it felt that really satisfying and all the months of training was well worth it. Finally, my first sub 1 hour 10K.

“Never say you can’t do it unless you give it a big hard try.”

You can also test your mettle and finish a 10K run in 1 hour as Pinoy Fitness brings you their Sub 1 10K Challenge on September 22, 2013 at Bonifacio Global City.  Tick of that Sub 1 hour 10K bucket list in this race as Pinoy Fitness creates the perfect environment with a wave start based on pace as follows:

PF Sub 1 10K Challenge Singlet

You’ll have all the leg room to run your fastest and be your best and the Bonifacio Global City provides a familiar ground for you to conquer and at the end of the run is a sub-1 medal for those who reach the finish line and for those who failed to meet the cut, I’m sure running alongside this speedster will give you a really good time for 10K and the adrenalin rush would want you asking for more races that challenge your speed.  The slots are limited so here’s the first test of speed, race to the nearest registration stations or register online and be a part of the first sub 1 10K Challenge.  Are you up for it?  Yes, I know you are.

It’s sub 1 or nothing at all!

I’m sorry but I think I could last only up to 5K. I am a weakling when it comes to running, but if I could have the singlet, I will try the 10K run.
