PhilHealth has been providing healthcare benefits to its members for 20 years now. PhilHealth: Ready, TSeKaP, Go!” is both a celebration for Philhealth’s 20th year and also a tool in raising awareness on the benefits of members. The run is simultaneously happening at Baguio, Dagupan, Tuguegarao, Subic, Lucena, Lipa, Iloilo, Cebu, Tacloban, Davao, Koronadal and Quezon City on February 15, 2015. The race will also feature a unique 20 kilometer category for PhilHealth’s 20th year aside from the regular 3K, 5K and 10K distance. The advocacy doesn’t stop as there would be beneficiaries for each location so gear up now and run for a cause.
Healthcare is really valuable to every Filipino and PhilHealth has been providing Financial Medical Assistance to its members for 20 years now. As part of the advocacy, PhilHealth is coming up with a simultaneous run across the country primarily to promote and advocate the benefits and services that they provide to their members. The Run is envisioned to generate public awareness about the health care benefits that each and every member is entitled to, and how these may be availed of. The Run’s carrier theme is the primary care benefit package or ‘TSeKaP’ (Tamang Serbisyo para sa Kalusugan ng Pamilya) to instill among target participants, particularly those in the vulnerable sectors of society, the importance of having a first line of defense against costly hospitalization. Thus, the Run is dubbed “PhilHealth: Ready, TSeKaP, Go!”.
The run would also be for a cause with various beneficiaries in each location. For the NCR (Quazon City) event, the beneficiary would be GOLDEN RECEPTION AND ACTION CENTER FOR THE ELDERLY AND OTHER SPECIAL CASES (GRACES). GRACES is a residential care facility that provides care to male and female senior citizens 60 years old and above which is being managed by the DSWD-NCR. Let’s Run this one for our Lolos and Lolas at GRACES.
The event would be showcasing a really unique 20 kilometers category which is in line for PhilHealth’s 20th year. There will also be 3 and 5 kilometers for those who prefer to go on short distance races and 10 kilometers for those who want to go for the middle distances. The NCR event would be held at the Quezon Memorial Circle with the runners having a fresh new routes at Commonwealth Avenue.
